Sir Richard Alston is a distinguished choreographer and artistic director. He founded the Richard Alston Dance Company in 1994, creating over 50 works for the company before its disbanding in 2020. His works have been commissioned and performed by prestigious dance companies in the UK and abroad. He is a former artistic director of both The Place and Ballet Rambert. A close friend and colleague of Robert Cohan for decades, Sir Richard was a key advisor during the founding of RCDL.
Clare Connor has served as Chief Executive of The Place since 2017. Clare is an alumnus of the London Contemporary Dance School and performed with Phoenix Dance before establishing a career as a teacher-artist in higher education and performing arts programs. She is a trustee for Sadler's Wells Theatre and the Dance Umbrella and a member of Climate Action Working Group on behalf of GuildHE and Universities UK. Clare played a central role in the formation of RCDL.
Jane Pritchard is the Curator of Dance for the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) London where she was responsible for exhibitions and displays including Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes 1909-1929 and Anthony Crickmay, Photographing People and Performance. She has made numerous media appearances, guest lectured widely and written a host of articles and books on dance and dancers including Anna Pavlova Twentieth-Century Ballerina. Jane created the Contemporary Dance Trust Archive and has curatorial oversight of both the London Contemporary Dance Trust and Sir Robert Cohan archives at the V&A. Jane joined the advisory board in April 2023
Max Finbow is a highly accomplished West End and Broadway theatrical producer and was the managing director at David Ian Productions. Max began his career with London Contemporary Dance Theatre working for nearly a decade as a member of the production team under Cohan's leadership. Max recently served as Executive Producer for RCDL's production, On the And: Honouring the Legacy of Sir Robert Cohan CBE. Max has a repository of knowledge about LCDT productions and provides invaluable support for RCDL's mission. Max joined the RCDL advisory board in July 2023.
